La apolipoproteína C-II o apolipoproteína C2 es una proteína que en humanos está codificada por el gen APOC2 .

La proteína codificada por este gen se secreta en el plasma, donde es un componente de lipoproteínas y quilomicrones de muy baja densidad . Esta proteína activa la enzima lipoproteína lipasa en los capilares, que hidroliza los triglicéridos y así proporciona ácidos grasos libres a las células. Las mutaciones en este gen causan hiperlipoproteinemia tipo IB , caracterizada por xantomas , pancreatitis y hepatoesplenomegalia, pero sin aumento del riesgo de aterosclerosis . Las pruebas de laboratorio mostrarán niveles elevados de triglicéridos, colesterol y quilomicrones en sangre
